Fabregas will be stupid leaving Arsenal for barcelona at this stage of his career, he is developing as a fantastic player for Arsene Wenger and arsenal but at 23 he cannot justify the decision to head out there to replace any of the mighty 3; iniesta, xavi and messi. They all have about 5 years of top level performances in them and to think he can waltz in there and take their places is unthinkable. He is an exceptional player but sadly if he left he would have to get used to starting from the bench as the above mentioned individuals are cult figures who can automatically justify their names on the starting lineup.Finances will also come into play; Barcelona have just spent spend 35 million on David Villa with the spanish international asking for wages around Ibrahimovic's 180,000 a week, Fabregas's arrival for 40million which is what Arsenal are likely to quote will mean Barcelona are going well beyond their means considering the very recent rule change that now means Barca and real included, will have to fairly share the 663 million euros the league generates from broadcasters. According to figures released by Bloomberg "Real and Barca get more than half of the 520 million euros a year" of that figure leaving the rest of the league relying on other ways of generating revenue therefore they definitely need to get rid of players and so far Thierry Henry is the only significant one making an exit.
Barcelona have way too many players on ridiculous wages and it seems in order for the fab switch to be materialise, they will have to offload some players with Bojan and To
ure being used as bait and recently Ibrahimovic, Marquez and rumours suggesting Sergio busquets. Barcelona are clearly taking the "busquet" by thinking they can offer such ordinary players to us and expect that lo and behold fabregas will be delivered to them no qualms. Wenger and his cronies are more than likely to hold out for the 40million which will really test how much barca want to break the bank and how much they really want him. Joan Laporta, the president, wants to leave Barcelona a present prior to his departure but perhaps he's going a bit over the top by offering them 2 very expensive presents he posibly couldn't afford.Well if Fabregas is comfortable with starting from the bench on a regular basis and feels he is more likely to win more trophies elsewhere then perhaps he should be allowed to leave but he should look back at the season past and realise that Arsenal made huge progress and to leave a business bound for greater things to an already established one may be an exciting prospect but for how long. Would he not have liked to have said "yes i was part of this team for 10 years and we finally stayed together and won it", is that not what a team is about, teams i'm led to believe stick together and with time learn each other's strengths and weaknesses, bad and good sides and always improve but perhaps the idea of a brief fling or a one night stand with barcelona appeals to Fabregas more than a long lasting relationship with Arsenal.
